TideWall audits e-commerce checkouts for currency and payment issues and sells the verified proof. These terms govern the website, the free scan, the paid reports and the Checkout Watch subscription. They are written to be read.

TideWall reads publicly accessible pages of an online store and reports, per market, on its currency and payment behaviour: forced foreign currency, dynamic currency conversion offers, stale exchange rates, missing local payment methods, duty and tax display issues. The analysis is deterministic: parsing and arithmetic against disclosed reference data, no AI, and the full methodology is public.
The service is offered to businesses: store operators, and marketing or e-commerce agencies acting for them. By ordering you confirm that you act in the course of a trade or profession, not as a consumer. Consumer protection rules written for private buyers do not apply to these contracts.
Reports are informational estimates, not financial, legal or tax advice, and not a guarantee of results. Every monetary figure is a modeled band built on assumptions the report itself discloses, applied to revenue figures you supply. A finding is a candidate until it has been reproduced from inside the shopper's market, and the report labels which is which on every line. Where our model cannot justify the purchase at your numbers, the report says so and advises against buying.
Prices are shown before purchase and charged in Swiss francs through Stripe. We never see your card details. For subscriptions, the price at sign-up applies for as long as the subscription runs; a price change is notified by email at least one billing period ahead and applies from the next renewal, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
The verified proof pass has one honest failure mode, so the rule is simple: if the verification pass confirms not a single finding from inside your shoppers' markets, you pay nothing. Write to us and the fee is refunded in full, no form, no questions. Beyond that rule, a digital report that has been delivered and confirms findings is not refundable.
Checkout Watch can be cancelled at any time from the link in any alert email or by writing to us; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, and no further charge is made.
Everything we deliver is digital: web reports, PDF and CSV exports, email alerts. A free scan's report is automatically deleted 90 days after it was produced. A purchased report is kept for as long as we operate the service, and its link keeps working.
The report you buy is yours to use inside your business: share it with your team, your agency, your payment provider, or attach it to an internal ticket. What stays ours is the engine, the methodology text, the brand, and the site. Agencies who want to deliver reports under their own brand can ask about the white-label programme.
The service is provided as is. We aim for it to be available and correct, and we publish how it works precisely so its claims can be checked, but we do not warrant uninterrupted availability, nor that a scan reaches every store (some block automated access), nor any particular commercial outcome from applying a fix.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit or lost data. Nothing here limits liability for intent or gross negligence, which Swiss law does not allow to be excluded.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The date at the top tells you when. For subscribers, a material change is notified by email before it applies, and continuing the subscription after that date is acceptance; if you disagree, cancel and the old terms apply until the end of your paid period.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is the operator's registered seat in Switzerland, subject to any mandatory venue.
